Ava Kensok
She/Her, Peer Mentor
About
Ava Kensok (she/her) is a first generation student currently on a pre-med path studying Kinesiology and Global Studies. Her interests lie within the relationships between the brain and the body with a globalization lens. Ava is a recipient of the Passport Scholarship and has been involved in WSS since the beginning of her second year at Western. Ava has struggled with unpredictability with family and housing in her past and found stability and a chosen family at Western. She strives to share that stability with others in similar circumstances. She is familiar with unusual family dynamics, balancing school and work, financial independence, mental health and physical health.
Outside of school, you can find Ava out on a run, hosting dinner parties, watching sunsets, doing yoga, bouldering, or crafting!
Feel free to reach out to Ava for any peer support or just if you need a helping pair of hands.
