About
Jon started as the WSS Program Manager in January 2024. Prior to joining the WSS team, he worked at Western as a Supervising Resident Director, Western’s temporary Basic Needs Resource Navigator, and a Financial Aid Counselor—all at Western Washington University. He also worked in First-Year Programs, Academic Advising, Residence Life, and Financial Aid at institutions in Missouri, Oregon, Colorado, and Washington since 2012. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communication and a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Missouri State University. He strives to help lower barriers and improve equitable access for education, and he strives each day to be the person his dogs think he is.
